Transform the world through your diet

For all you Brooklynites out there, mark your calendars for next Saturday, April 14th when renowned author and public speaker, Anna Lappé, will be presenting her thoughts on how diet affects our health, the health of our environment, and how each person can play a role in transforming the world. Anna is the co-host of The Endless Feast, a 13-part series airing on public television this spring and author of Hope's Edge and Grub: Ideas for an Urban Organic Kitchen.

The presentation will take place Saturday, April 14th, 7:30-10:00pm at the First Unitarian Congregational Society in Brooklyn, 50 Monroe Place Enter on Pierrepont Street between Clinton Street and Monroe Place in Brooklyn Heights. There is a suggested donation of $15, ($10 for students and seniors) but no one will be turned away for inability to pay. Dessert reception to follow. Click here for full details.

If you're not in Brooklyn, you can read more about Anna, her ideas, recipes, and Small Planet Institute on her
website. Or pick up her recent best-selling book, Grub: Ideas for an Urban Organic Kitchen.
